Rehearsals are monthly, on Saturdays, 10:00-3:30 (inclusive of lunch).

We have found success by holding longer monthly sessions instead of weekly evening rehearsals. The goal of these longer days is to help build community and to facilitate learning music together, while recognizing that ongoing weekly sessions can be difficult for a variety of reasons (work schedules, levels of energy, child care, etc).
We share a lunch hour (potluck or brown bag), because eating together, like singing together, is a great way to build our community.
In addition to the Saturdays, there will be some optional ‘office hour’ style drop-in sessions on certain weekday evenings (schedule tbc) for those who would like some extra help learning/reviewing between our monthly meetings.
Concert
Saturday, April 24, 2027 - in the evening.
Location
Rehearsals are in South Osborne (most of the time!). We can help facilitate carpooling, if needed.
Fee
The fee for taking part is $125 to help cover the cost of music, venue rental, accompanist, and other incidentals. This is payable at the first rehearsal or by email transfer.
If the fee is a barrier to you joining the choir, please get in touch and let’s work to find a solution, whether that’s paying in instalments or some other arrangement.
If you are in the position to offer financial assistance to another choir member, this is very welcome! For example, if you are able to give an extra $20, someone else’s fees can be reduced by that amount. Please get in touch if this is something you can offer.
Commitment
It is expected that you do your best to be at all rehearsals, especially because our schedule is known in advance and is spread out through the season. That said, things do come up, and that’s how life works sometimes.
However, with enough notice, work schedules and other conflicts can hopefully be sorted out and worked around so that you can come to choir for our Saturday sessions. If you do have to miss part/all of a Saturday, you can catch up with an in-between session, and with practicing on your own.
